Photography is just one of my hobbies, as I do have another day job. I did grow up with a father who was photographer, so I was around a studio, photo equipment, a darkroom, and chemicals. Yes those were the days before digital. I was many times his "practice model" for the new light meter. I started college majoring in art, but not photography in particular. Career and family took me in another direction, but now I am enjoying practicing my design and art background with digital photography. As far back as 1979, I was awarded the Seattle Times "Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Award". One of my travel photos was also chosen for publication in a table top photo book. I have recently begun to research online web sites where I can create and sell my original photos. And photoblogging has become a new passion. I love seeing what creative ideas people come up with!
